Touted as one of Asia’s very last frontiers, the blue tropical paradise of Myeik Archipelago may very well become a true tourist magnet within a few years.
Development here was booming until Covid-19 and political turmoil hit Myanmar in 2020-22, yet tourism is still being developed although at a slower pace.
Myanmazing Beach boasts 3.5 acres of beach front, and while it is completely serene, it is still the closest beach with tourism potential to Don Island’s primary village, Nyaung Main. This greatly improves the infrastructure as this distance is covered in less than 10 minutes by speedboat.
The beach itself is around one kilometer long, and recently a developer has commenced construction on the first resort on the beach right next door. This tells us that we are not alone in seeing vast potential in this blissful dimension.
In 2020, we celebrated Christmas here with 25 clients – and it was a complete success. Other than playing badminton on the beach, swimming, trekking to villages and many more things, we also took local boats to remote beaches where we picnicked on beaches that nobody had set foot on for ages.
Myanmazing Beach is situated centrally in the northern part of the Archipelago, putting clients in close vicinity to a plethora of interesting places.
By speedboat it takes 100 minutes to reach the beach from Myeik’s central pier.
The beach has Form 7 and an upgrade to a commercial license can be discussed with Golden Root Myanmar.
